Preview Videos — Friday’s Koi Release (8pm)

We’ve been out filming today to give you a closer look at this week’s koi release.

This is a group I’ve been looking forward to sharing — and seeing them in natural light, with the skin quality and colour really coming through, only reinforced that.

Below are some preview videos to help you get a feel for what’s coming on Friday night.

Doitsu Goshiki — The Main Group

Doitsu Goshiki are the main feature of this release.

Finding a group where the overall standard holds together like this isn’t straightforward. It was partly a case of being at the right place at the right time — at Koda koi farm on the day these were available — but also recognising the potential quickly and making the call to net them.

They’ve come on exceptionally well through quarantine and over the winter, which has only reinforced that initial decision.

Prices are £295 for the Doitsu Goshiki, with the Tancho's being particularly rare and are priced higher.

Ginrin Kohaku Nisai — from Koda

The Ginrin Kohaku in this release are nisai from Koda.

They’ve got good size, strong beni, and importantly, a clean ginrin quality that complements the pattern rather than overpowering it.

That balance is what makes these worth a closer look.

Shiro Utsuri — from Koshiji

We’ve also included a group of Shiro Utsuri from Koshiji.

Shiro Utsuri are often a longer-term play, and these were selected with that development in mind.
