Varieties in this second mix of the 2024 season are from 2 spawnings, namely, Shusui, and Ki Utsuri.
We expect the mix to contain the following:
- The Shusui spawning will contain a range of non metallic doitsu koi like Kosui and others, as well as some Shusui.
- The Ki Utsuri spawning is mostly Kigoi and Karashigoi, as well as some... in fact, very few... Ki Utsuri.
Both spawnings are from new parent koi, so we don't have previous experience to go by, in terms of understanding the mix.
The largest spawning was the Shusui. So, in terms of expectations - and it's difficult to predict the ratios in the mix, so this is just to give you a very rough idea - expect the ratios within the mix to be mostly from that spawning -around 2/3rds; with the other 1/3rd from the Ki Utsuri spawning.
So please view the variety list as a list of possible varieties - with each box of fry including examples from many of them.
We strongly recommend taking a food pack with the fry, to ensure they're kept on the same food which is a special food formulated for the specific nutritional needs of fry.

Koi delivery is via a specialist overnight fish courier service that we have been using successfully for many years.
Local pickup is available; choose that option in the checkout process, then once purchased, contact us to arrange collection.
For dry goods, the vast majority of items ordered before midday are shipped the same day, on an overnight service.
