Looking Ahead To The Next Couple Of Weeks At BKF
June is now underway, and whilst the next batch of koi currently in quarantine won't be ready for a few more weeks, we still have plenty happening here at Byer Koi Farm over the coming fortnight.
Retired Brood Fish Available This Weekend - Sat 13th June
One of the projects we've been working on recently has been selecting a number of retired brood fish that are ready to move on to new homes.
These are koi that have played an important role in our breeding programme over the years and, in many cases, have contributed directly to the bloodlines that customers continue to enjoy today.
We'll be making a selection of these fish available during the weekend of 13th and 14th June.
As many of you will know, brood fish are quite different from the koi we would normally offer for sale. They tend to be larger, older fish, each with their own history and character. Some have been with us for many years.
We'll share more details and photographs as we get closer to the weekend.
Major Online Release - Friday 19th June
Alongside the brood fish project, we're also busy preparing our next major online release, which is scheduled for Friday 19th June.
We're currently selecting fish, filming preview videos and preparing listings.
To make it easier for customers to follow along, we've created a dedicated release page which will be updated regularly as additional fish are added over the coming days. If you're interested in seeing what's coming, it's worth checking back from time to time as the release takes shape.
Visiting The Farm
The farm remains open as usual and we're continuing to add koi to our shop tanks.
Whether you're looking for a specific variety or simply planning a visit, we look forward to seeing you over the coming weeks.
As always, thank you for your continued support.
