A new batch of koi now available on the website including Yamabuki tosai from our new line
This week, we're excited to announce another fresh batch of koi uploaded to the website, featuring more of our popular varieties such as Doitsu Ochiba, Kohaku, and Showa. Keep an eye out for the impressive Oakly Soragoi, destined to be a big grower! Additionally, we're introducing some of the first tosai of the new season.
On the tosai; we've brought forwards tosai harvests of several spawnings that have spent the winter growing on period in tanks... that have started leaking! The leaks have worsened recently , and so we've cut their growing period a few weeks short and proceeded with the harvest. That's kept us very busy this last week!
The tosai for sale from those spawnings are now at ambient and in the sales room, ready to be organised into priced tanks and made available for sale.
I'll blog separately about that because it also means we will need to change the way we release tosai this year compared to previous years. It will be staggered rather than all in one go. And there's a wide range of koi varieties to talk about, and explain the release schedule.
We have good numbers from the largest 'leaky tanks' harvest, which was Yamabuki Ogon's. So we've included a few of those koi in our online release this week!
We hope you enjoy this week's release. And... as we near the start of spring, any of these koi can be collected or shipped in early March. Alternatively, if you see a koi you want but are not ready to take it, we're still offering our hold until spring option too.
