We have eggs!
Sunday... and we have eggs this morning :-) A re run of Rosie with our Matsue males pairing, which I kicked off yesterday afternoon and they’ve delivered ! This is just the beginning ... we’ll know fertilisation rates in on Monday.
With all the effort to get the spawning going.... making cage nets, cleaning tanks and brushes, taking time to heat the water and so on... That took up the whole weekend, and we did not manage the final tosai selection that we had planned to complete.
We have Witham Valley koi club visiting on Sunday 20th... so, I have the evenings next week and also Saturday 19th to carry out the selection before the club visit on the 20th. So, still time... but, we'll have to wait a little longer for a closer look at the best ones coming through from 2017 spawnings.
